Hackmead Solar Farm project - Local community consultation
Coleford Parish Council has received an invitation from Tyler Hill Consulting regarding the Hackmead Solar Farm project, who are now consulting the local community on the project on the 14th of May 2026, at the Royal British Legion Club, Memorial Hall, Anchor Road, Coleford, Radstock, BA3 5PB between the hours of 3pm to 7pm.

RE: Hackmead Solar Farm
We recently wrote to you introducing the Hackmead Solar Farm and informing you of an upcoming public consultation event for the project.
We are now writing back to invite you to the public consultation event, planned for the 14th of May 2026 at the Royal British Legion Club, Memorial Hall, Anchor Road, Coleford, Radstock, BA3 5PB between the hours of 3pm to 6:30pm.
At this event, we will provide further information on the project as well as a space for you to share your thoughts and discuss the project with us to ensure we consider your input as we move forward with the project. We recognise that solar energy projects can deliver lasting economic, environmental and social benefits in the local community, and we have seen examples of this being delivered very successfully within the UK.
With the above in mind, we would also like to discuss a Community Benefit Fund (CBF), which is a voluntary commitment made by us to financially support community initiatives that fosters growth and resilience within your community. We would be keen to discuss this with you further at the community event to understand any thoughts or ideas you may have on this.
