|Volunteers have been looking after the Butterfly Bank, at Lower Coleford Playing Field, since 2015, working with the Parish Council. In the Autumn of 2022 a formal group was established, to enable the volunteers to bid for grants. We will use these to fund improvements such as planting more native wild flowers. Our aim is to attract more wildlife to the bank, whilst maintaining it as an attractive spot for Colefordians to walk and sit for a while. In the longer term, we hope to carry out or support other conservation projects in the area. Everyone is welcome to our work days.
